Fight hunger in Karamoja through our parish model, "Teach me how to fish"

Updated: Nov 8, 2022

What will happen after the maize flour donation in Karamoja?

I am hungry again!

Ecolife can provide a sustainable solution through Ecolife's post-harvest model - "Farmer Enterprise Center". We built centers and empower communities in grain value addition through our brand for sustainable empowerment.

What is possible?

It's possible to produce high-quality flour in Karamoja throughout the year using Ecolife's post-harvest model - Farmer Enterprise Centers.

Farmer Enterprise Centers (FEC) - "Teach me how to fish"

FEC is a scalable business model using renewable energy to bring electrified services and technologies close to rural farm communities. This community business hub fosters improved production and livelihoods of smallholder farmers in rural communities.

Each FEC hosts a solar-powered walk-in cold store for use by horticultural entrepreneurs, a planned milk collection center for dairy, and an organized milling unit licensed to use our brand. Other services at the center include solar-powered irrigation pumps, an agro-input shop, a cassava milling machine, coffee hauling, and a training center.
